What a weekend Round 7 at Silverstone on the International circuit was.
I kicked off the weekend with 3 sessions of Testing on Friday 2 October; The circuit was dry and a very lovely 20°C. best part of 45 laps with a best of 1:09.562, an optimal of 1:09.128 (0.434 s left on the table), a top speed of 137 mph · 220 km/h. In the #3 Ginetta G55 Hybrid.
Quali, Saturday 3 October, 09:14–09:24 (10 min), in the worst conditions for quali that I think i have ever driving in, mainly due to how unpredictable it was, slightly damp and very greasy, track temp a measley 13°C. Still I knocked out 9 laps, mustering a best of 1:13.291. Enough to put the #3 Ginetta in P5 in class, not too shabby and to be expected given the straight line speed of cars that qualified ahead of me.
Race day, Saturday 3 October, I started the race and did the 1st of 3 stints. 13:06–13:47 (41 min), considerably nicer track conditions compared to the morning! Dry, 20°C. 34 laps, a best of 1:08.143 — the quickest of the weekend, a top speed of 133 mph · 214 km/h.
